Contesto
I recenti conflitti (2009, 2012 e 2014) e gli ultimi eventi legati alla “Grande marcia del Ritorno” hanno spinto la popolazione verso una condizione sociale fortemente critica. La condizione economica (alto tasso di disoccupazione, mancanza di elettricità ed acqua potabile, malnutrizione, ecc.), e i servizi di welfare poco efficienti completano il quadro allarmante. Inoltre, l’embargo totale imposto da Israele da 12 anni ha determinato una crisi socio-economica senza precedenti. La maggior parte dei 2 milioni di abitanti della Striscia di Gaza vive in uno stato di privazione dei diritti umani più basilari e non può viaggiare né uscire da una lingua di terra militarizzata grande 360 Kmq.
Questi fatti hanno influenzato negativamente la vita delle persone, specialmente dei bambini, che rappresentano i soggetti più vulnerabili. La salute psico-sociale delle persone è una delle dimensioni più urgenti da affrontare. La CB Crew di Gaza Negli anni, abbiamo conosciuto e supportato la crew di breakdancers gazawi “Camp Breakerz”, che da 15 anni, attraverso l’Hip Hop, cerca di trasmettere alla popolazione palestinese quel senso di libertà soffocato dalla segregazione con la quale è costretto a fare i conti tutti i giorni. Da 10 anni hanno fondato una scuola di break-dance, che in questo momento necessita di fondi per sostenere i costi relativi all ’affitto dei locali, la strumentazione, i corsi di danza, scrittura, musica e rap. Fino ai tempi recenti la scuola era finanziata dalle rette mensili pagate dalle famiglie, che oggi subiscono sempre di più gli effetti della crisi economica. Risultato di tale drammatico quadro è l’abbandono della frequenza dei corsi da parte dei bambini. Gli insegnanti, inoltre, sono retribuiti solo parzialmente e, quindi, sono costretti ad impiegare parte della loro giornata in altre attività lavorative, mettendo di conseguenza in secondo piano la loro formazione e la pianificazione delle attività di insegnamento.
Gaza is Alive 2019: una Jam, ma non solo!
Quest’estate andremo a Gaza con un team di musicisti, artisti Hip Hop internazionali e psicologi per una serie di workshop di produzione musicale, rap, writing e breakdance di supporto psico-sociale ed una bellissima Jam, che saranno solo l’inizio di un progetto di supporto a lungo termine, che prevede una copertura economica che possa rendere gratuiti i corsi per i ragazzi; un ’ adeguata retribuzione per gli insegnanti e la loro formazione continua. Gaza Strip is the world’s largest open-air prison
The Context
The recent conflicts in the Gaza Strip (2009, 2012 and 2014) and the latest political events linked to the “Great Return March” have pushed the population towards a strongly critical social condition. The area’s economic condition (high unemployment, lack of drinkable water, malnutrition, etc.) and inefficient welfare services complete an alarming picture. In addition, the total embargo imposed by Israel for 12 years has determined an unprecedented socio-economic crisis. Most of the 2 million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip are living in a state of deprivation of the most basic human rights and cannot travel or leave a militarized 360-sq-km land.
These facts have had a negative influence on the people, and in particular on the children, who are the most vulnerable. The CB Crew of Gaza Over the years, we have met and supported the gazawi breakdancers crew “Camp Breakerz”. These guys, for 15 years have been trying, through Hip Hop, to convey to the Palestinian population that sense of freedom suffocated by the segregation with which they are forced to reckon everyday. Ten years ago they have founded a break-dance school, which actually needs funds to bear the costs of the rent, equipments, dance, writing, music and rap courses. Until recently, the school was financed by the monthly fees paid by families, which today are increasingly suffering the effects of the economic crisis.
The result of this dramatic picture is the abandonment of course attendance by children. Furthermore, teachers are only partially paid and, therefore, are forced to find other jobs, thus putting their education and planning of teaching activities in the background.
Gaza is Alive 2019: a Jam, but not only!
This summer we will go to Gaza with a team of musicians, international Hip Hop artists and psychologists for some workshops of music production, rap, writing and breakdancing and a beautiful Jam, which will be just the beginning of a long-term support project, which provides for an economic coverage that can make courses for children free; adequate wage for teachers and their continuous training.

Hintergrund
Die jüngsten Konflikte (2009, 2012 und 2014) und die jüngsten Ereignisse im Zusammenhang mit dem “Großen Rückkehrmarsch” haben die Bevölkerung in eine äußerst kritische soziale Lage gedrängt. Die wirtschaftliche Situation (hohe Arbeitslosenquote, Mangel an Strom und Trinkwasser, Unterernährung usw.) und ineffiziente Sozialdienste runden das alarmierende Bild ab. Darüber hinaus hat das seit 12 Jahren von Israel verhängte totale Embargo zu einer beispiellosen sozioökonomischen Krise geführt. Die meisten der 2 Millionen Einwohner des Gaza-Streifens leben in einem Zustand der Missachtung der grundlegendsten Menschenrechte und können nicht reisen oder das 360 km² große militarisierte Gebiet verlassen. Diese Tatsachen haben das Leben von Menschen negativ beeinflusst, insbesondere das der Kindern, die die am stärksten gefährdeten Personen sind. Die psychosoziale Gesundheit der Menschen ist eines der dringlichsten Themen, die angegangen werden müssen. Die CB-Crew von Gaza Seit vielen Jahren unterstützen wir die Gazaner Breakdance Crew “Camp Breakerz”, die seit 15 Jahren versucht, der palästinensischen Bevölkerung ein Gefühl der Freiheit zu vermitteln, durch das sie die Segregation (Abtrennung als Volk), die sie tagtäglich erleben, überstehen. Seit 10 Jahren habt die CB Crew eine Breakdance-Schule gegründet, die dringend Mittel zur Deckung der Mietkosten für Räumlichkeiten, Ausrüstung, Tanz, Grafitti, Musik und Rap benötigt.
Bis vor kurzem wurde die Schule durch monatliche Gebühren finanziert, die von Familien gezahlt werden, die heute zunehmend unter den Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise leiden. Das Ergebnis dieses dramatischen Bildes ist der Verzicht auf die Kursteilnahme von Kindern. Darüber hinaus werden die Lehrer nur teilweise bezahlt und müssen daher einen Teil ihres Tages in anderen Arbeitsbereichen verbringen, wodurch ihre Ausbildung und die Planung ihrer Unterrichtsaktivitäten in den Hintergrund treten.
Gaza lebt, 2019: eine Jam, aber nicht nur!
In diesem Sommer werden wir mit einem Team von Musikern, internationalen Hip-Hop-Künstlern und Psychologen nach Gaza reisen, um eine Reihe von Workshops als psychosoziale Unterstützung zu veranstalten: Musikproduktion, Rap, Grafitti und Breakdance und am Ende eine große Jam.
Das soll erst der Anfang eines langfristigen Unterstützungsprojekts sein, das eine wirtschaftliche Abdeckung vorsieht, damit die Kurse für Kinder kostenlos sein können und den Lehrer Fortbildung und eine angemessene Vergütung gegeben werden kann.
